This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The HUD-VASH Social Worker provides intensive case management services, psychotherapy treatment, biopsychosocial assessments, and support in achieving identified treatment goals as detailed in VHA Directive 1162.05(1) - Housing and Urban Development Department of Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program. The HUD-VASH Social Worker provides individual, group, and family counseling and interventions to assist Veterans with housing and employment stability. HUD-VASH Social Workers provide care in community settings and are required to operate a government vehicle as they work with Veterans, meet with community partners, and travel between sites of care.
