Social Worker - Mental Health Outpatient Clinic (Ambulatory Care)
The incumbent is assigned as a Social Worker in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic under the Ambulatory Care section of the Mental Health Service (MHS). The position requires extensive work with veterans diagnosed with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Veterans will receive a variety of evidence-based therapeutic services such as individual, family, and group psychotherapies, case management and service coordination. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education: Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
