Providence Saint John's Health Center is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to lead a multidisciplinary and community-based Cleft Palate team in Santa Monica, California. This position will support the surgical and inpatient needs of the program's cleft palate patients as well as coordinate the overall program's development and success through care coordination, outreach, and advocacy for children and families with maxillofacial anomalies. Responsibilities include, bringing a cohesive element to care to patients, providing comprehensive care management, overseeing patient and family teaching, and actively consulting with members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of all aspects of patient care. Ideal candidates will not only be passionate about caring for patients with maxillofacial anomalies but will also be able to demonstrate clinical competence. - Nurse practitioner will provide evidence based prenatal screening, perioperative care, pre-surgical counseling/clearance, intraoperative assistance, and inpatient and outpatient consultations for maxillofacial anomaly patients
- Mentors, develops, inspires, and leads staff members in patient and procedural settings, maintaining and promoting standards of care and development of critical thinking skills and role modeling advanced practice
- Participates in professional education activities
- Participates as a member in a professional Nurse Practitioner organization
- Serves as a Preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a RN or NP required
- RN Surgical First Assistant required
- Case management experience preferred
- Compensation is between $140,005 and $170,373 per year
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
