Psych Associates and RNs report to a Nurse Manager

Unit has 16 beds

The unit team consists ofone attending psychiatrist and one attending psychiatric nurse practitioner;two case managers; one occupational therapist; RNs; psychiatric associates; and health unit coordinators.

Station 32 has a mix of challenging patients including those who are anxious/depressed, at risk for self harm or suicide, as well those who have thought disorders and struggle with managing their lives in the community.

Staff work together as a team to care for patients and provide a safe environment for therapeutic improvement in managing their mental illness.

Assess, Plan, Implement and evaluate nursing care to ensure quality patient care in accordance with the missions and philosophy of Fairview Behavioral Services. Behavioral experience preferred.
Physical demands:Sitting, standing, walking, lifting-max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs., balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work

Required: Current MN RN Licensure and BLS

Preferred: BSN, at least 1year of behavorial health nursingexperiencein the last 3 years
