In this key position, you will deliver outpatient care in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation as you help patients achieve their optimal functional capacity through exercise (both monitored and non-monitored), education, and risk factor modification. You will make the most of your exceptional nursing abilities by serving as a trusted resource for patients and staff. This will involve ensuring safe, effective, individually-tailored exercise plans and prescriptions. You will be a vital participant in each patient’s overall case management, including initial evaluations, tele-monitoring, treatment plan preparation, and discharge summary reports. You may also assist respiratory therapists in monitoring pulmonary rehab patients.
We’re seeking an exceptional, passionate nursing professional with a BSN or MSN and:
Current California RN license Five or more years of cardiac, critical care or cardiac rehab experience Expertise in ECG interpretation and basic arrhythmia recognition Completion of a basic arrhythmia or ECG course Ability to monitor several patients at one time Previous individual and group teaching experience Knowledge of exercise physiology and adult exercise prescription Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology preferred ACLS/BLS certification
