Manages staff and all aspects of a post-settlement Medicare Set-Aside administration company located in Birmingham, AL. Due to COVID-19, employee will initially work remote from home but later move into a physical office. Duties to include staff training and supervision; paying bills and keeping track of company finances using Quick Books; dealing with an array of business-related vendors, customers and case referrals; performing case management and related aspects of claims administration with new and established accounts being served; point person with outsourced national contractor who handles bill review and adjudication, pharmacy benefit management, nurse utilization and medical authorizations; continuous quality improvement of the Workers Comp Medicare Set-Asides (WCMSAs) program and developing new programs such as Liability MSAs; occasional management and marketing duties; etc.
Graduation from college; master’s degree preferred (proof of transcripts)
Minimum of 3 years Workers Comp experience; claims or case management supervision/management preferred; Nurse Case Management experience a PLUS
Competent in Quick Books and all Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of medical, social, and emotional aspects of disabilities
Able to work in a fast-paced environment using workflows and following standardized protocols
Quick learner; self-initiative, good reasoning and problem-solving skills; professional; hard worker; reliable; trustworthy; above average communication skills both verbal and written
