Cooley Dickinson Health Care an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA, NP, CNM) for day to day oversight of Quality and Patient Safety. This position will help shape the vision of and provide leadership to the quality and safety strategies and overall operations of Cooley Dickinson Health Care. This is a full-time administrative position with a desirable Monday through Friday schedule, located at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. Day to day responsibilities will include reviewing the medical/clinical evaluation and processing of all reported events. Support and implement related initiatives to the safety reporting process, like the addition of Just Culture, participation and implementation of simulation across departments or of follow-up to reporters. Serve as clinical advisor to case management and participate in or lead various quality and safety committees as assigned. About the organization: The system’s 140-bed hospital annually admits 8600 patients, treats 34,000 emergency patients and delivers approximately 600 babies. The Cooley Dickinson Medical Group (CDMG), the fastest-growing part of the system, consists of approximately 74 physicians and 37 advanced practice clinicians who provide care at 11 locations. The ideal candidate for this position will have five to ten years’ experience in a clinical setting with some leadership/management experience preferred, as well as some experience with patient safety and process improvement implementation in a healthcare setting. Candidate must be a succinct, timely and tactful communicator. Actively licensed (PA, NP, CNM) in the State of Massachusetts preferred.
