RN CARE MANAGER Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, is looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with a passion for helping the pediatric population. In close collaboration with the SHCNC Medical Staff, this position coordinates care for pediatric patients within a Subspecialty Service. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring quality outcome focused delivery of care to the specific pediatric service, and to the pediatric population as a whole, while also attending clinics designated by the respective Chief of Service, providing focused support to patients and surgeons as needed, and following through with on-going case management as indicated. In this vital role, you will oversee the plan of care while also fostering a deeper relationship with our SHCNC physicians and our patients and their families. Must be a California-licensed RN, possess a BSN and have at least 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric acute care. BSN preferred. Must be self-directed, highly organized and demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Requires the ability to assess patient care data and formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses; function effectively in a multi-cultural patient/family/staff environment; demonstrate computer proficiency, including Word and Excel programs; and become CPR and PALS certified.
