This position is responsible for reviewing, auditing and reporting on Charge Capture at the department level, educating hospital staff on charge reconciliation, analyzing claims' denials and unbilled issues, auditing hospital accounts, serving an integral role on hospital Revenue Integrity Teams, leading Revenue Management work groups, developing summary reports for management and revenue-producing departments, and ensuring charge-master and billing compliance.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelors Degree is preferred.
Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes and Federal, State and local insurance guidelines and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively at all regional and facility levels.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to work on multiple tasks at any given time.
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Minimum of five (5) years working in healthcare, whether in a clinical or ancillary setting or a Revenue Cycle department.
Thorough understanding of hospital billing, chart reviews and coding, UR and Case Management, payer contracts and reimbursement rates, and other revenue cycle functions
