The Director will be responsible for developing and managing the ambulatory practices for the Behavioral Health Network, as part of the RWJBarnabas Health Combined Medical Group. This responsibility will include identifying the need for behavioral health teams in primary care practice hubs, assisting in hiring, onboarding and credentialing the teams, and providing support to ensure their success. This leader is accountable for the achievement of profitability goals as well as customer satisfaction and market share.
Meets with key referral sources and physicians other identified target audiences to educate them on the services and capabilities of RWJBarnabas Health. Monitors and manages the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Identifies and recommends new approaches/strategies to facilitate stronger account alliance Implements strategies by working with key hospital staff in response to customers complaints or requests to facilitate stronger relationships. Identifies areas for improvement and execute plans to resolve problems in coordination with affiliate team. Routinely meet with senior leadership, management, planning department, and other appropriate clinical staff to provide feedback received from customers and market information.
Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives. Monitors schedule and daily activities to maximize time and efforts of team. Creates and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual plans. Tracks and reports on ambulatory services volumes. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor. Reports on activity level and outcomes of activities and initiatives on a regular basis focusing on volume growth and problem resolution
Team Development and Coordination
Helps team identify and build relationships with referring physicians, non-loyal, splitters and phantoms, nurses, office managers, case management, social workers, and other applicable referral sources. Monitor and report volume growth in key areas. Provides quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding RWJBarnabas Health values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others. Assists team members with identifying and implementing new strategic, tactical and relationship development initiatives to increase referrals. Collaborates within system entities, works across and with all departments to complete tasks and resolve issues. Ensure coordination of scheduled activities and referral source appointments, among team members, to avoid competing with each other or duplicating efforts.
The Director should minimally possess a BA/BS; 5 or more years' experience with behavioral health management is required. LCSW preferred.
Knowledge of State Delivery System Reform and Incentive Payment (SDSRIP) program is desired. Demonstrated leadership and strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of healthcare. Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel. Ability to gather raw data, generate and analyze reports is essential.
