Bayhealth is Central and Southern Delaware's largest health care system, Bayhealth is comprised of Kent General and Milford Memorial hospitals, the freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna as well as numerous satellite facilities and employed physician practices encompassing a variety of specialties. We are now seeking a highly motivated individual to manage clinical and operational functions and staff for the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.
In this role, you will be accountable for the clinical and operational functions of the Bayhealth Cancer Institute staff on both hospital campuses and in the community. This will include assuming responsibility for system-wide oncology care coordination and navigation, assuring most effective allocation of resources, meeting all productivity and budgetary standards. Also responsible for all grants, community outreach programs including cancer screening and prevention services, and research for availability of funding for those in need. Collaborates with other members of the oncology leadership team to assure timely, effective and appropriate care.
Registered Nurse with BSN; or Bachelor's Degree in Health or Business Administration required. MSN; or Master's degree in Health or Business Administration or related field preferred. Five (5) years management/supervisory experience required, to include experience with leading multidisciplinary teams. Must have prior experience with program management and physician relationships. Must also have prior experience in a matrixed environment and with program development. Six (6) years experience in related healthcare role with outpatient oncology managerial experience or other clinical area management experience preferred.
Prior experience with cancer program management and/or physician practice management preferred. Must have current licensure in the State of Delaware, or compact state. Oncology nursing certification (OCN), FACHE preferred. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to meet multiple deadlines, effective communication skills, and the ability to function under conditions of high pressure. Must be able to extract and analyze data from a variety of information systems. Must be able to cultivate appropriate business relationships with physicians, service line staff and other Bayhealth individuals and groups. Experience in project management, education, case management, or utilization management preferred. Experience with Magnet theory and implementation of evidence based practice preferred.
