Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
We are seeking a 0.8 fte Pediatric Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly expanding pediatric program. Candidates will manage the full spectrum of pediatric palliative care including grief and bereavement and work with the healthcare team.
The duties of this position include:
Work collaboratively as a member of the Legacy Palliative Medicine and Randall Children’s Hospital interdisciplinary team to provide excellent clinical care.
Work collaboratively with RN case managers to assure a smooth transition of patient care and education between inpatient and outpatient care.
Completes timely and accurate documentation in Epic.
Communicate to all referring providers and primary care practitioner as needed.
Clarification of the medical care plan and assisting the team to assure all communication loops are closed.
Participation in teaching, conferences, rounds, and the education of medical, nursing, and other staff.
Professional development through attendance and/or participation at national/regional conferences.
Education: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing (acute or outpatient pediatric nurse practitioner designation)
Experience: Minimum of one year clinical practice experience as an acute or primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. Pediatric palliative care experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: Oregon RN and NP license, unencumbered Oregon NP Prescriptive Authority/DEA licensure. Pediatric Acute or Primary Care National certification, CPR. PREFERRED: ELNEC-PEDS, RTS perinatal loss training, CHPPN.
